FAQ's
What style of yoga will we learn?
This course is based on the traditional teachings of classical hatha yoga. The experienced teachers have trained in the tradition of Sri Krishnamacharya, a style of yoga that is adaptable to the needs of each individual. There are no set sequences, levels of achievement or rigid templates. This training is flexible and responsive to the requirements of every student. You'll receive a thorough grounding in traditional, authentic yoga AND learn how to adapt these timeless teachings for modern students.
How many people will be in the training?
We accept just EIGHT students on this course. This ensures the highest quality training and prepares you to work with small groups and individuals to the highest professional standards.
What accreditation will I receive?
This course is Yoga Alliance accredited and upon successful completion you will become RYT200 certified. At Adore Yoga, we believe that all 200hr courses are foundational training only and strongly recommend that yoga teachers continue their education after graduation to meet Yoga Australia minimum criteria of 350hrs training.
Do I need to be able to demonstrate all the poses?
No. There's more to being a good yoga teacher than being able to do the physical poses. You will be trained to practice and teach a variety of modifications, including the use of yoga props, to make yoga accessible to everybody.
What happens if I can't make all the classes?
You need to attend a minimum of 80% of the face to face training hours in order to qualify for accreditation. If you cannot make all of the sessions, a limited number of them can be made up during one-on-one mentoring sessions. However, if you can't make at least 80% of the face to face sessions, you will not be able to graduate.
Will I be qualified to teach yoga in NGO's, schools, hospitals, clinics and other organisations?
Yes. This course is an ideal foundational training for people who want to take yoga in to community and clinical settings.
How will I be assessed?
This course includes 5 simple assessments, including practical teaching assessments, short written answers and multiple choice questions. You will also keep a regular journal of your learning and teaching process. All assessments are designed to help you learn rather than 'test' your knowledge.

“It’s a comprehensive course that will give you the tools and knowledge not only in a yoga teaching situation but also in day to day life and interactions. This course has taught me more about myself, my mind, my body and in some ways broken me down in order to put me back together.” Marina Pawley
Yoga is for EVERY Body
Have you thought about training to teach yoga, but worried you weren't fit or flexible enough? Being a yoga teacher isn't just for the young and bendy! If you've experienced the benefits of yoga and want to share it with people in small groups or one-on-one, then this is the right training for you.
This empowering yoga teacher training gives you the skills to make yoga do-able for people of all ages, sizes and abilities. You'll be supported to love and live with the body you're in - and do the same for your students.
From poses and breathing techniques to meditation and yoga philosophy, you’ll discover the true purpose and practice of yoga and how to adapt it to help others. That makes it ideal for people working in the helping professions who want to add yoga to their tool-box.
We'll help you develop powerful skills that will allow you to meet the physical and psychological needs of individual students. Rather than learning the ‘right way’ to do a particular exercise by rote, you will be learning to work collaboratively to create individualised solutions. It's the way yoga teaching was meant to be.
