                  MEET ON THE MAT; SHOW UP ON THE PAGE

Sally Riddell, of Ruby 9 Yoga, and Liana Joy Christensen, poet and writer, invite you to take time to find the well within. Spend the day exploring techniques for connecting with sources of inspiration and embodied wellbeing. Liana will provide a series of prompts for creative writing. Sally offers a combination of all the tools of yoga. Both writing and yoga sessions draw on Csizkszentmihalyi's theory of flow.


EXPERIENCE: Suitable for all levels of experience of yoga and writing.
                             Please bring preferred writing tools with you.


Liana is a poet, writer and teacher with a special interest in exploring tools for sustaining a creative life. She will offer you a series of simple writing exercises as a gentle invitation to play. Encouragement will be offered as participants' venture into a deeper, more sustained writing practice.

Sally is a yoga teacher and yoga therapist with a passion for the ways in which our lives flow from moment to moment, from story to story. She will teach you a number of experiential practices that will guide you from the gross to the subtle, linking your body, heart and spirit with the concept of moving in flow with grace and rhythm.

Schedule / Itinerary

The day is divided into sections for the practice of yoga and for writing creatively.

Sally will guide you through a series of short practices that will support your writing efforts.

Liana will guide you through writing exercises that tap into your creative well.

We provide luch for you as well as morning and afternnon tea breaks
