IN-HOUSE YOGA RETREATS AT YOGAREAL YOGA STUDIO - ALBERT PARK
RETREAT TWO: SWAMI MUKATANADA
THE PROCESS OF YOGA REALLY BEGINS WHEN A PERSON SPENDS TIME WITH SOMEONE WHO IS ESTABLISHED IN YOGA, WHOSE WHOLE LIFE IS YOGA.
Yoga is not merely a matter of doing a few postures or a few breathing or meditation techniques or being a yoga teacher.
Certainly for me, the understanding of yoga and life and myself happened because of my time on tour traveling with Swami Muktananda (six months Santa Monica, Los Angeles and six months South Fallsburg, Upstate New York in 1980).
The reference with everything for me always "starts there and comes back to there." This is without a doubt. Any form of yoga I’ve done or any practice always has its reference "there" everything else around those forms or practices is simply just another experience.
The same situation will be available for everyone on this retreat. The benchmark for yoga or the seed experience of who you are will be yours - connecting you to the divine energy, Shakti or universal energy. This process of establishing yourself in that divine energy is known as Sadhana - a spiritual, holistic, realistic yogic practice or working in harmony with the universal energy.
"You know who you are! And you know what should be happening!" This happens immediately - the seed is sown. And it unfolds in you appropriately depending on how much you support it, value it and open to it.
THE PRACTICES OF ALL THREE YOGAREAL RETREATS 2012:
♦ Unique to each individual and Yogareal Retreats – Restorative, Innovative, Integrative and Re-aligning Practices using Benches and other special props that I’ve specifically tailored to create unique openings. I’ve used these props on a couple of advanced students who couldn’t believe the openings and expressed how they’d never experienced openings like that before over props or in their own practice.
• Postures - Static and Vinyasa
• Pranayama – using specific props so prana deepens and lengthens
• Mantra – Philosophy and Practice – using vibration and sound
• Kriya Yoga
• Yoga Philosophy
• Yoga Nidra
• Live Musicians
• And a lot more
