Yoga assists the growing mind to expand and explore, to remain calm and centered, to know right from wrong, sharpening the intuition and honing the senses.
This FUN, ACTIVE course will focus on the all the physical conditions commonly experienced by teenagers these days: upper back tightness, lower back weakness, postural imbalances and breath control.
The flow of the class will include shoulder releases, standing poses, inversions, twists and forward bends. The sessions will close in stillness and silence and you would be surprised to see how eagerly this quiet is received.
The teachings of Yoga help us to discover the wealth within. That riches outside ourselves have the illusion of contentment, are temporary pleasures and are the markers of the suffering and discontent that many teens endure.
A well-rounded Yoga practice offers a place of refuge, where everyone is equal, regardless of social standing, body type or interests. It’s in the simple things like trying to sit still and silent for 3 minutes that balance is struck.
