Balancing Muladhara Chakra
A day of asana, restorative yoga, and yoga nidra designed to help you ground and centre, bringing what lies in your roots up into consciousness, co-taught by Mona and Tamara.
The seven energetic centres, or chakras, that run along the spine govern different segments of the body and different behaviour. Muladhara Chakra governs our survival and the way we manage our daily lives – our family, occupation, money, etc. When balanced we are grounded, relaxed and able to manage the demands of daily life. When imbalanced this chakra can be tamasic (under active) which manifests as being fearful, anxious, lacking in focus and disconnected from the body or rajasic (over active) manifesting as feeling lethargic, depressed and unable to bring about change.
This day retreat includes asana, pranayama, restorative poses, visualisation and yoga nidra, all designed to ground, center and relax you. A luxurious forty minute yoga nidra practice called “The Tree of Life” helps release memories stored in your subconscious and unconscious and in the DNA carried through generations so you can feel balanced and free.
