There are five fundamental elements to the cycle of nature and are reflected in the cycle of our body, mind and spirit. The Five elements (wood, fire, earth, metal and water) are Daoist philosophy that teaches us everything in the universe is interconnected each other. We will focus on “WATER” element. Water element is associated with the season of winter. Kidney (yin) and Urinary bladder (yang) organs relate to this element. They are responsible for overall quality of chi (life force, prana), balance and function of all the other organs. Emotionally this element is related to Fear and Wisdom. In this workshop, we will explore the element physically, emotionally and mentally through yin yoga, guided by Reiku. Yin yoga is a type of yoga practice in which you hold each asana (posture) for longer periods of time. By placing gentle pressure on joints, bones and other deep connective tissues, they will build strength, more elasticity, and enriched quality of chi. Yin yoga also invites you to slow down, pause and bring awareness inward. Let’s wrap ourselves in cosy blankets in colder season and delve into the deep exploration of yourself.
