Description

The way you move on your bike is similar no matter what type of bike you ride, and the way you function on the bike leaves a lasting effect on your muscles and joints. Learn how to use yoga to alleviate muscle tension and soreness from cycling, as well as to strengthen specific areas that can help improve your experience on the bike. We will focus on key areas of the body including realigning the spine and shoulders as well as opening the hips and legs. To help you remember what you learned, we’ll send you home with a sheet of poses to use before or after your rides. This workshop is suitable for all levels of yoga experience, and is geared toward any type of cyclist; whether you’re an amateur or professional; and regardless of what type of bicycle you ride. About Erica: Erica has been practicing yoga for over a decade, attended her first Yoga Teacher Training in 2012 and has been teaching since 2013. A highly experienced cyclist, Erica’s passion in yoga is to work with athletes of all types to help strengthen their bodies and bring mindfulness into their training. Erica has ridden a bicycle as her main form of transportation since 2011 and you can find her riding around Brisbane on her touring bike, fixed gear, or mountain bike. Her most recent love affair with cycling has been bike-packing and is always on the look-out for her next adventure. Investment: $50
