in Byron Bay, NSW organised by Shakti Yoga
in Byron Bay, NSW organised by Shakti Yoga
We will chant auspicious mantras to celebrate the ripening of the Full Moon, and move together in the Sacred Circle. There will be a time of meditation to invoke the energy of Creation for what we wish for in the coming cycle of the Moon.
Agnihotra is a Sacred Fire Ritual traditionally practiced at Sunrise / Sunset for purification.
The fire burns cow dung and ghee with offerings of rice accompanied by the mantra.
As the last flames of the fire burn away we chant the Mahamrityumjaya Mantra invoking Lord Shiva:
tryambakaṃ yajāmahe sugandhiṃ puṣṭivardhanamurvārukamiva bandhanānmṛtyormukṣīya mā'mṛtāt
We then bathe in the mystical energies of the ritual, watching the rising moon.
Arrive at 5.45pm for 6pm start.
Agnihotra Ceremony as the Full Moon rises at 7.43pm
