Do you need time out for you? For your inner yoga. For quiet time in yourself. For quiet time in nature. For reconnecting with the earth and elements? The weekend focuses on reconnecting through yoga, meditation and activities in nature.
The retreat will be held at the beautiful Springmount Eco-Retreat on
the Fleurieu Peninsula south of Adelaide. This genuine eco-retreat is
set in total seclusion on 90 acres of pristine bushland with panoramic
views of the south coast and the beautiful Inman Valley.
Only one hour from Adelaide, and ten minutes from Victor Harbor, Springmount Eco-Retreat is an easy drive for a weekend escape.
Relax in a peaceful natural environment. Watch the eagles soar
overhead. It is a perfect place to get back in touch with the earth,
the sun, the sky, your self.
Yoga will be held in the glasshouse lounge as well as outdoors on the green slopes and in the forest.
Accommodation is in a quality, shared bunkhouse with a shared
bathroom. The retreat centre has been purposely built to accommodate
those who want to experience eco-living.
Healthy gourmet meals are provided throughout the weekend. We can cater for all diets including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free.
Who is the retreat suitable for?
The retreat is suitable for anyone with an interest in participating in yoga and getting back in touch with nature. It’s for those who need some time out, who want to unwind, who want to find some inner quiet or learn new ways to relax. It’s for those who wish to spend more time with the elements in beautiful natural environments, walk in the forest, watch the sunset over the ocean.
It’s particularly suitable for those who attend regular yoga classes but would like to have more time to explore more deeply what yoga is about, including the philosophy and teachings of yoga, and to engage more intensively in a range of yoga practices such as breath connection, energising, active and restorative postures, and guided meditations.
But you don’t have to have done yoga before - beginners are welcome. We do physical practices and walking so you need an average level of physical ability but you won’t be expected to do yoga gymnastics. We work on the philosophy that “if you can breathe you can do yoga”. It’s all about finding your own yoga that’s right for you – your own body-mind-breath-spirit connection, your own practices for direct participation in life.
My experience and skills as an ecologist, conservationist,
facilitator, celebrant, yoga teacher, writer and wanderer mean that my
retreats are different.
I take you off the beaten yoga track to amazing natural environments, guiding you to reconnect to earth, elements, life force, spirit, self.
