Description

If you are curious to learn more about the art and science of yoga with a modern day approach, deepen your practice, find and reside in your inner light, this course is for you.


This internationally accredited course imparts the necessary tools to establish a nourishing home practice for all stages of life, as well as acquiring the necessary skills to competently guide others in a safe therapeutic practice.


Curriculum in Brief

  • Philosophy; Study Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, The Eight Limbs Yoga
  • In depth study of Asanas, Pranayama, Mudras and Bandhas
  • Physiology; energetic & emotional anatomy, Prana, Chakras, Nadis, Meridians, Marma Points, Gunas, Koshas
  • Teaching techniques, adjustments, sequencing, alignment, verbal queues and styles of Hatha Yoga such as; Ashtanga (Mysore), Iyengar, Viniyoga, Vinyasa, Yin, Sivananda and Restorative
  • Anatomy and Physiology
  • Therapeutic use of Asanas and Pranayama
  • Meditation techniques & Mantras
  • Science of Pranayama (including the 5 Pranas)
  • Pre and Post Natal Yoga


Schedule 

Ten x 1 Day Workshops in Studio + 3 Day Retreat at Springbrook, Gold Coast Hinterland from February to November 2023

3 Assignments

Attend 60 classes (Class Log Sheet provided). Of the 60 required classes, if these are taken with My Yoga, the class cost is at a reduced rate of $8 per class. There is no time limit to complete the Log Sheet


Accreditation

Yoga Australia and Yoga Alliance (national and international governing bodies of the yoga industry) accredit this course. Upon completion you will be eligible for full membership with Yoga Australia and Yoga Alliance as a Level 1 instructor and formally qualified to teach and obtain to insurance. 


Prerequisites

Minimum 12 months consistent practice. 


Investment and inclusions

$3900 upfront payment , or

Payment plan; $350 deposit upon enrolment (non-refundable) + $385 over 10 months total $4200. If you cancel 4 weeks prior to course commencement & have paid up front, course fee is fully refundable minus the deposit.


Course fees include;

  • 3 day Yoga Retreat (accomodation & meals) 26-28th November 2021
  • Yoga Journal
  • recorded copies of the practical classes taught throughout the course (over 18 classes)


Teacher Trainees will need to bring the following to each workshop;

  • x2 yoga blocks
  • yoga bolster
  • eye pillow (optional)


Required Books:

  1. Inside the Yoga Sutras by Jaganath Carrera
  2. Heart of Yoga by TKV Desikachar
