On this retreat we will practice dynamic asana, pranayama, meditation and focus on inquiry into how all these practices affect the breath.
Often in Jivamukti yoga class we teach strict vinyasa (moving with a breath count) which can be very challenging to follow. We will explore the idea of moving and breathing together and why vinyasa is helpful as well as how to do it skillfully without holding, forcing or neglecting the breath.
The focus is from Patanjali's Yoga Sutra chapter 2, sutra 50. (bahya-abhyantara-stamba-vrittih-desa-kala-samkhyabhih paridrsto-drigha-suksmah).
This cost includes yoga, accommodation and delicious home cooked vegan food. It doesn't get much better value than that! The retreats will be taught and assisted by your favourite Jivamukti Yoga teachers and staff. We're so excited to be able to offer this opportunity to all our students to come away with us and be immersed in the practice and study of yoga.
