Swami Mukti will explain about the historical background of Hatha Yoga; how it evolved; it’s use and intention; as well as current benefits.
During this workshop you will learn the practical uses of the various techniques explained in the Hatha Yoga Pradipika including inner cleansing, asana, pranayama, mudra gestures, bandha locks, yama/niyama, perceiving the inner sound nada and the increments of self realisation. The session will conclude with a YogaNidra relaxation meditation.

During this workshop Swami Mukti will share with us the practical aspect of the previous day’s information, where you will perform various shat karma purifca- tions, asana, pranayama, mudra, bandha and meditation as specifically described in the Hatha Yoga Pradipilka. This workshop will finish with Yoga Nidra relaxation meditation instructed by Swami Mukti.
Swami Muktibodhananda started her yoga journey in 1972. She later studied under the direct guidance of Paramahansa Swami Satyananda for 10 years in India. During this time she authored and had published ‘Swara Yoga, the Tantric Science of Brain Breathing’ and Commentaries on ‘Hatha Yoga Pradipika, the Light on Hatha Yoga’. Swami Mukti is a Yogacharya, master of yoga, and enjoys teaching the an- cient yoga practices to a modern day audience. Currently Swami Mukti teaches regular classes from her boutique style studio in Forest Lake, Brisbane, QLD. She also teaches in educational and institutional settings interstate and worldwide.
