You asked, we listened! We have heard you want to deepen your yoga practice, to find greater strength and flexibility, expand your awareness of movement and breath, dive into meditation to release stress and learn more about all things yoga.
Introducing the third classes in the 'Deepen Your Practice' Workshop Series. A series of workshops to advance your knowledge in all things yoga.
Come to the Foundational Workshop in week one where you will be rooted in foundations, modifications, anatomy, breath and general body awareness. This will thread through to the Advanced Workshop in week two where you will play in more advanced variations of poses and deepen your understanding of when, why and how you would choose to advance or modify your practice.
Saturday 19th August 1:45pm- 3:45pm,
Deepen Your Practice - Backbending in Safe Alignment, Foundations
Backbends are known to be invigorating and exhilarating, but are often approached with a sense of trepidation. In this workshop, we'll look at the anatomy of a well-functioning spine and supporting structures, and give you some essential tools to stabilize your vertebrae while bending backwards. 'How do I engage my core?' and 'What do I do with my neck?' and 'How do I stop my back from hurting?' are commonly asked questions that will be addressed in detail. Love and nurture your spine through this practical experience.
Saturday 9th September 1:45pm- 3:45pm
Deepen Your Practice - Backbending Variations & Depth, Advanced
Advanced backbends require not only flexibility in the spine, but also plenty of range in the shoulder and hip joints - this is where most people hit road bumps that halt their progress. Learn the safe ways to open these structures, while strengthening the supporting muscles of the spine and core. Move towards deeper backbends that invigorate your body and mind, but with respect for your own individual body and its needs. Leave your ego at the door and discover the tools to enjoy a healthy backbending practice.

We encourage you to attend the Foundations followed by the Advanced Workshop, but we do offer both the classes seperately. Each workshop goes for 2hours and the foundations will thread to what is taught in the advanced workshop.
