Louise has a knowledge and experience of yoga based on 20 years of practice. She commenced her yoga discipline and self practice whilst snow boarding in Canada and commenced studies upon returning to Australia.
She has attended classes and learned from teachers re-known worldwide and from various yoga backgrounds:-Crown St Yoga - Eve Grzybowski - Iyengar focus, Cronulla Yoga Centre with Yvette Standen – Vinyasa/flowing sequence, Mark Breadner in Cronulla where she was introduced to the Ashtanga discipline of yoga and adjusted. Yoga Moves - Eileen Hall and teachers, Ashtanga Yoga Space with Fiona Parker and past and present teachers, Yoga Synergy - Simon Borg Olivier.
She has practiced a variety of yoga from Kundalini to Synergy but her passion is Ashtanga yoga which she practices and teaches. Louise studied and worked in conjunction with James Walsh for Core and Corrective Exercise and anatomy & physiology. She has attended workshops with Eileen Hall and Manju Jois - in Bali, Deena Kinsberg at Ashtanga Yoga Space, Sydney and practiced with the ashtanga sanga in Rushcutters Bay with Sharath Ramasgway in 2009.
Other studies include: Thai massage, Reiki, Crystals & Colour therapy, and psychotherapy.
Her learning’s evolve from teachers and students alike, enhancing her own yoga practice and teachings. Her depth of integrated somatic knowledge is passed on to students.
Louise had her own studio in southern Sydney for the last 6 years and began her teaching career at Cronulla Yoga Centre in 2001. She has taught beginners, pre-natal, seniors (oldest student 92yrs), to Mum’s N Bubs, dancers/gymnasts and elite athletes, to everyday general, vinyasa classes, energetic sequences and meditation classes.
In January 2010, she closed the In Motion Lifestyle Centre @ Taren Point and is currently teaching @ Masonic Hall in Cronulla. She also currently teaches at Ashtanga Yoga Space – Paddington.
