The topic of the weekend retreat is based on the five points of Yoga, as taught by Swami Vishnu-Devananda:

Proper Exercise (Asana) Proper exercise should be pleasant to the practitioner while beneficial to the body, mind and spiritual life.

Proper Breathing (Pranayama) Proper breathing should be deep, slow and rhythmical. This increases vitality and mental clarity.

Proper Relaxation (Savasana) By relaxing deeply all the muscles the Yogi can thoroughly rejuvenate his/her nervous system and attain a deep sense of inner peace.

Proper Diet (Vegetarian) A lacto-vegetarian diet. This is an integral part of the Yogic lifestyle.

Positive Thinking and Meditation(Dhyana) Here is the most important point of all, we become what we think. A positive outlook on life can be developed by learning and practicing the teachings of the philosophy of Vedanta. The mind will be brought under perfect control by regular practice of meditation.

The cost for the weekend is $420.-
Included in this price are the complete yoga program, accommodation (Please bring your own linen) and vegetarian meals.
A non-refundable deposit of $120 .- is required to reserve your space.
The final payment is due one week before the Retreat.

Friday 16/08/19 arrive between 2pm and 6pm
4pm yoga class (asana, pranayama)
6 pm Dinner
7:30pm meditation and introduction
Saturday 17/08/19
5:30am Sun Salutation + breathing exercises (optional)
6am morning meditation
7am Breakfast
9am – 11am hatha-yoga class (asana)
12pm Lunch
Afternoon activities / free time: hike up Mount Coolum, walk along the beach, swim in the ocean, nap, read a book, stroll through Coolum, Siesta……
4pm hatha-yoga class (asana, pranayama)
6pm Dinner
7:30pm satsang (meditation, Kirtan, lecture,…) or by the campfire (weather permitting)
Sunday 18/08/19
5:30am Sun Salutation + breathing exercises (pranaymaya)
6am silent meditation walk
7am Breakfast
9am – 11am hatha-yoga class (asana)
12pm Lunch
2pm end of the Retreat
All classes and program are optional, but highly recommended to attend to get the most benefits from this intensive yoga and meditation weekend.
We are surrounded by beautiful nature and there is enough time for walks, reading a good book or just simply release, relax and recharge.
