Pregnancy yoga classes aim to develop your confidence in your own ability to birth. Yoga is used as a way to practice dealing with discomfort and strong sensations. You will learn many techniques that you can use to help you through the birthing process. You will also learn evidence based information about birthing so that you can make informed decisions for your birth. You will learn about the different settings available in south Australia and how to get the most out of your chosen one. Even if early on you know that you will need some kind of intervention including a caesarean the classes will offer you the information you need to make active and informed choices for you and your baby.You will practice yoga and pilates to keep the body strong and pain free during your pregnancy.
We start the class with the physical work of yoga and pilates for 60 minutes. The last 30minutes is taken up by information sharing, discussion or learning about some aspect of birth.
