When new students fill out their pre-activity questionnaire, the majority select “back & neck pain” as an area of concern. Whilst yoga can alleviate tension in general, it is certainly helpful for yoga teachers to have specific knowledge and offer tangible suggestions that will assist the healing process of their students and ensure that they remain safe from further injury during the yoga class.

This module will explore:
  • Insightful information about some of the most common types of back pain including herniated & degenerated discs, scoliosis, sciatica, lumbago (chronic lower back pain)
  • An overview of the spinal anatomy
  • How to adapt yoga asanas (postures) for back pain
  • Identifying poor postural habits & teaching good posture
  • Helpful breathing techniques for pain management and coping skills

The content explored in this course can be applied to the teaching of general classes or working one on one with a student.

Included for $325
