Pregnant women worldwide are flocking to yoga classes for it's reputation as a safe and effective 'exercise'. As yoga teachers we know it is so much more. The pregnant goddess can drink from this vast ocean of yogic wisdom to gain greater strength, clarity and vitality that surely has the power to change the world - one baby at a time.
Assisting women to have an empowered experience of pregnancy and birth is one of the greatest rewards of teaching prenatal yoga. As modern women, many of us have forgotten our inherent birthing wisdom. Yoga skillfully reminds us that our body is made for this and assists us to feel at ease in the sacred flow of life.
Through this 5 day training you will gain confidence in supporting pregnant women at all levels on this great rite of passage into motherhood including birthing wisdom (Active Birth) and postnatal yoga options.
This course is taught by Vanessa Rudge (E-RYT500) of Being Yoga. On completion you will receive a certificate of attendance and be eligible for Yoga Australia Continuing Education Points (45 hours = 42.5 points and includes 5 non-contact hours)
The Course includes a thorough exploration of:
Prenatal Yoga + Active Birth
* contras & cautions when returning to yoga
* the pelvic floor
* safe poses to teach and when to teach them
* yoga poses that include the baby
* interactive play & massage
