This exciting course offers the opportunity to explore the foundational theoretical background and practical applications necessary to safely and appropriately conduct your own pregnancy and post natal yoga classes (including ‘mums and babies’ yoga), or even to go on and establish your own yoga school in this niche-market. Course founder, Ana Davis, is well known in Australia and abroad for her prenatal and postnatal yoga teacher training workshops.
Our training courses have a reputation for being grounded in safe, scientifically based practice and offer a balanced approach, straddling the theoretical, practical and the more esoteric elements of teaching pre & postnatal students with intelligence, awareness and sensitivity.
Learn the all-important background information on the stages of pregnancy and birth, and post partum physiological and emotional changes, from a team of experienced and qualified experts that includes in addition to our highly-trained Bliss Baby pre/postnatal yoga teachers, doulas, midwife, naturopath, childbirth educator and clinical psychologist.
The course also aims to give students the practical skills and tools that will result in the development of an extensive teaching repertoire of appropriate and beneficial Asanas and other yoga-techniques for their pregnant and post natal students.
In addition to the three face-to-face weekends held at Grass Roots Yoga Studio, St Kilda, you will also be required to complete an additional 18 non-contact hours that will include assignments and assigned reading.
