The Bliss Baby postnatal course is designed to equip you with greater knowledge, confidence and a comprehensive ‘tool kit’ of appropriate asanas and practices for safely teaching postnatal women yoga.

This is an ideal course for teachers or trainees who wish to learn more about child birth and it's effects on the female body and who wish to specialise in teaching yoga classes for women post birth.  Many of the people who have taken this course are now running successful postnatal & 'Mums n Bubs' yoga classes.

What we will cover

  • Stages of recovery after birth
  • Asanas for common back problems & ailments post-natally
  • Contraindicated / indicated poses for the phases of post birth recovery
  • Use of props and application of restorative yoga in postnatal classes
  • Conducting a ‘Mums n Bubs’ class – curriculum and sequencing (including baby yoga)

The Intensive modules are suitable for yoga teachers and teacher trainees (at minimum of level 1), and anyone interested in finding out more about the benefits and applications of yoga post-natally.

We have a great team of experienced and passionate women’s health teachers:

Ana Davis has been teaching yoga since 1996 and is founder of Bondi Bliss Yoga Studio in Sydney. Ana has been specialising in the area of teaching and training teachers in pre/post natal yoga for the last 6 years. She is regularly invited to conduct this workshop in Japan.
Emma Grant has been practicing yoga since 1996 and teaching since 2001. She has maintained her practice of yoga, meditation and Ayurveda throughout her pregnancies and into motherhood. Trained in pregnancy & postnatal yoga, Emma has also studied Ayurveda at Naturecare (Sydney) and with Ayurvedic Doctors in India. Emma is Founder and Director of Red Tent Yoga, a yoga school specializing in classes for pre/post natal women, and children.
