Description

Our holistic, comprehensive training course thoroughly prepares budding yoga instructors to teach all ages in a range of environments – early childhood centres, schools, yoga studios, sporting groups, special holiday workshops, sporting groups and much more. If you work in a child-centric environment such as schools and juvenile health, the Angel Yoga Teacher Training course will qualify you to introduce yoga techniques to help the children you are contact with on a daily basis to manage anxiety, gain confidence and tap back into the wondrous world of imagination and creativity.

Deposit of $300 to secure you place in the full course
Monthly payments of $270 for 7 months.

 Angel Yoga Teacher Training

AY Foundation Program     (Initial Preparation) levels 1-3

 

LEVEL 1 - EARLY CHILDHOOD

LEVEL 1 is an informative and introductory workshop which focusses on teaching yoga to early childhood age and an introduction to yoga for children 2 - 5 years.

Level 1 covers:

an introduction to yoga and the sutras,

benefits of teaching and receiving yoga,

communication and development for early childhood,

learning styles of children,

age appropriate teaching techniques,

asanas suitable for kids,

music therapy,

yoga games,

pranayama for kids,

meditation,

affirmations,

 preparing yoga sessions class for early childhood level

 homework/assignments

 

LEVEL 2 - PRIMARY SCHOOL

LEVEL 2 is a detailed program focussing onYoga 4 Kids aged 5 - 12.

Level 2 covers many aspects of teaching yoga to children including: * how to teach yoga to primary and middle school kids,

age appropriate development

yoga in the classroom,

promoting a calm classroom

partner & group yoga,

music therapy,

detailed class structuring,

preparing yoga demonstrations,

mandala art,

more yoga games

mantras and mudras

meditation & creative visualisation

assignments/homework

 

LEVEL 3 - TEENAGERS & FAMILY & INTRODUCTION TO SPECIAL NEEDS YOGA

LEVEL 3 is the final workshop in AYK Foundation program. It focusses on yoga for teenagers, introduction to yoga for special needs, yoga for families It also covers Business development.

Prerequisite for level 3 is level 1 & 2 and on going personal yoga practice.

 

Training includes:

A certificate of completion for the Foundation Course is provided when all homework for Foundation course is submitted.

Step 2. AYKAF Certification Training (levels 4 - 6)

Credit Hours: 16

Each module is 6 class hours with at-home practice of 2 hours for a total of 8 hours.

It is highly recommended that Foundation Program AYK 1-3 is taken before the Certification training, although depending on training, experience and circumstances some students may begin with modules and complete Foundation training later.

AYKAF Practical Program (Level 6)

 Credit Hours: 25

All students are required to finish their training with an internship. You are required to attend classes and workshops with a AYK Teacher.

6 hours observing,of which 4 (if physically possible), with AYK Yoga Teacher other 2 with Professionally trained kids yoga teacher in your area.

You are required to help prepare and facilitate classes for all ages from 2 - 15 a n d communicate with parents of kids attending classes. 19 hours of teaching, of which 6 (if physically possible), withAYKYogaTeacherandatleast13asaleadteacher.

Record of Observing and Teaching hours to be kept, witnessed and submitted

Home Assignments 

Home assignments will be issued after each workshop which all students are required to complete and submit, by email before attending the next workshop.

A certificate of completion for the AYKAF Full Training  (Foundation & Certification Course) is provided when all homework record of practical experience is submitted.

If you are registered with Yoga Australia you can also apply to be registered as RCYT (Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher), as our course meets industry requirements.You can also apply to receive CDP (Continuing Development Points) with Yoga Australia.

AYKAF reserves the right to change the date of workshops, or to cancel workshops if minimum bookings are not reached.  Course material also may change due to industry standard requirements.
