Bio: Sophie Hamley has been teaching yoga since 2002 and practising yoga since 1993 as a student of well-respected Sydney teacher Judy Krupp. She has also undertaken teacher training with American teacher Shiva Rea, and workshops with Rodney Yee, Donna Farhi, Simon Borg-Olivier and John Ogilvie.
Sophie is passionate about all aspects of yoga - from the fine detail and amazing benefits of asanas to the transformative power of breath, the wonder of meditation and the bliss of surrender at the end of a practice. She employs the in-depth anatomical knowledge gained over her years with Judy Krupp and also the awareness of the human body's great capacity for flowing, graceful movement to create classes that aim to leave students feeling at ease in their bodies and, hopefully, smiling at the end.
Sophie firmly believes that yoga is, ultimately, a practice of joy and of connection - to ourselves, to each other and to the world around us. Apart from that, it's also really good fun.
