Yoga with Cecily Chun
Cecily Chun is a certified yoga teacher and a mum to two boys. She has been studying, exploring and practising yoga for 11 years and teaching since 2007. Cecily adopts a fluid approach to teaching asana, integrating pranayama (breathing), relaxation and meditation practices to bring a sense of lightness and joy. Her combination of intelligent sequencing with a breath-centred practice encourages her students to explore the true essence of yoga; union of the body, mind and spirit. Cecily currently holds certifications with YogaWorks – New York, Yoga Alliance 200hr, Prana Flow with Shiva Rea, Fluid Vinyasa with Twee Merrigan and Prenatal Yoga with renowned instructor Janice Clarfield.
“As a yoga teacher and now a new mum, I found that yoga helped me enormously throughout my pregnancy and childbirth. Yoga works deeply on a mental, emotional and physical level. Practising yoga during pregnancy helps to deepen and enhance this wonderful and exciting time in your life. It helps to increase your energy and circulation, promote relaxation and prepare you to give birth actively and instinctively. Increased body awareness and enhanced ability to breathe and relax will help you adjust to the physical demands of labour, birth and motherhood. I hope to share some of my experiences with you and guide you through a happy and positive approach to birth”.
Cecily teaches her pre / postnatal yoga class at MAMA on Saturdays 9am – 10.00am.
Classes are casual and are open to all clients wanting prenatal, postnatal or just a local wanting to feel energised and centered.
