  • Every year the Navara Mystical school hosts an annual Navara retreat in the mountains of Poiana Marului in the province of Timis in Romania (approx. 3 hrs drive from Timisoara).

    This 2-week retreat is an opportunity to learn deep and profound teachings directly from Sri Guru Navara, includuding discources on the various mystical paths (Yoga, Taoism, Tantra, Mystical Christianity, Buddhism (Vajrayana, Mahayana and Theravada) etc, as well as on Navara.

    Initiations into very special and profound practices will also be made, that are not taught or given outside of these retreats.

    A common day may include the following (but may change slightly from day to day);

    0700; breakfast

    0830-0930; practices of physical asanas/qigong/taichi

    0945-1100; meditational practices

    11.30-2.00; theoretical discourses

    2.00-4.00; lunch/break

    4.00-7.00; theoretical discourses

    7-8.30; dinner

    8.30-9.30; evening discourses/practices

    The first week of the retreat will focus mostly on the beginners practices, and the second will be a mix of both. You are welcome to stay only for the first week or for the entire duration of the retreat.

    Private accommodation and delicious Romanian-style vegetarian meals will be provided for you, as well as transportation and accommodation in Timisoara on either side of the retreat dates.

    This is a very relaxed atmosphere will lots of socialisation and plenty of opportunity to ask questions relating to any aspects of the practices and theoretical components, as well as to explore aspects of your own spiritual life.

    Costs;

    retreat fee; 690euro

    Accommodations, transport & meals; Approx $6-700AUD, depending on if you are single or happy to stay in a double room

    Flight recommendations;

    It is often cheapest to fly into a city such as Paris, Rome, London or Budapest and the get internal flights to Timisoara (wizzair.com, Ryanair.com etc) or a taxi from Budapest to Timisoara (approx. 4 hrs drive at 60euro). Once in Timisoara a taxi from the airport can take you to the accommodation in the central area (approx. 60lei (equivalent of around $20AUD)). Flights can be found around $1500-$1800AUD return.

    Once in Romania, goods and services are often quite cheap.
