End of Year Yoga Intensive - Setting Intensions with Sarah Bourne
Some of us make New Year Resolutions year after year, only to break them within the first week or two. Setting intentions is not about making yourself a promise to do something, or give something up, it’s about making a commitment to yourself within your yoga practice.
How often do you find yourself struggling to ‘get into a pose’ because the person next to you makes it appear so effortless? Or do you give up on yourself and your practice at times, ‘copping out’ because it seems too hard, you’re tired, stressed, having a bad day etc etc etc?
In this intensive, Sarah will invite you to explore your practice through the lens of the ‘Twin Pillars of Yoga’, Abyasha and Vairagya (Action and Restraint)
“For our yoga practice to become fruitful it must strike a balance between these two forces as they are the defining elements, which move practice away from a sensual pursuit towards a more meaningful endeavour.” Alan Goode, Senior Iyengar Teacher, Canberra.
