Enhance your yoga by connecting to your core
This six week course is for students with a minimum of six months experience. Enrollment is for the full six weeks.
Focus: Deepen your practice with an understanding of what your ‘core’ is, and the integral role it plays in functional strength, stability and mobility. This understanding can allow you to connect with these muscles and encourage a balanced posture that provides a healthy strong spine (especially lower back) and deep full breathing. This connection can help you to enhance the sense of mindful integration that is our yoga, and apply this balance and connectedness across all aspects of your life.
-Moving from your core to take you deeper into the core of your being-
Course outline: Week by week we will progressively introduce you to the structure and function of the core and how it relates to healthy, mindful movement and breathing. This course is suitable for people wishing to engage more deeply with these topics to enhance their yoga practice, and would also be of benefit to people that have been challenged by dysfunction and pain in the lower back.
