Kids Yoga & Art Holiday Workshop

Get some peace and quiet to yourself these school holidays by sending the kids off for a morning of fun at YOGA SIVANA's new eco-studio in Mosman!

This school holiday workshop is designed especially for children to develop their self awareness through both yoga and art/creativity. 

We begin the morning with some gentle yoga exercises to get the kids moving and grounded within their bodies. Yoga helps to calm and center children, teaching them valuable tools for gaining control over both their body and their mind, whilst improving both their co-ordination & self esteem. Throughout the practice, we focus on our breath, which is greatly beneficial for all children- especially those suffering with asthma; whilst the relaxing effect of yoga helps children cope with the stresses of everyday life.

Once a little more calm and focused, we go into a short lie down for relaxation and guided visualisation, which allows the children to get in touch with their creativity and inner wisdom.

The later part of the morning is spent drawing, exploring and expressing themselves through art. Children are guided, yet allowed the freedom to find and create their own images, which they can take home as a reminder of the day.

What to bring?

All yoga mats, props, paper and art materials are provided.

Please dress in clothes that children can move in for the yoga class, and bring a pair of socks and light jacket to wear when we cool down.

Children may wish to bring a water bottle & a snack which can be eaten after yoga & relaxation, before we begin the art section of the morning.
