The Self-Guided Practice is a term program that starts with an individual practice set by senior teacher and yoga therapist Yolande Hyde.
Once the practice is set the student then attends the Self-Guided morning practice where your personal yoga sequence is undertaken, along with others in the course, and at your own pace. Yolande is there is guide, adjust and hold space for your practice as you work on strengthening, lengthening, injury rehabilitation or learning the craft of yoga for the first time.
Unlike other generic yoga classes’, doors open at 6.30 and practice concludes at 8 am but the student is free to arrive and leave freely as the class is not led.
Getting into the yoga habit isn’t nearly as hard as you may think, the beauty of yoga is that it does not cost a lot of money, doesn’t [have to] take tons of time, only requires enough space for a yoga mat, and it rejuvenates the tired body and wandering mind. Once you get some of the basics down, yoga is a simple and effective tool for creating the healthy, happy, fulfilling lifestyle that we’re all seeking.
One of the best methods to connect with this space is to return to the one on one practices of old. This is where the language of yoga is most purely communicated from teacher to student.
If you’ve felt you would like to do yoga, but have been held back by excuses, now is your chance to take the initiative for your physical and mental well-being.
