I've practiced & studied yoga for over 20 years. My classes are conducted in a traditional Classical style with precise instruction to the anatomical & physiological alignment of the body in conjunction with breath awareness.

Props are used to bring a deeper understanding to the poses.

The focus in my personal practice & teaching is on developing inner & outer strength and exploring the calm & clarity that comes with working the body, mind & breath together.

LOTUS HEALTH: 11 / 40 Yeo St NEUTRAL BAY (enter on Barry St)

WINTER TERM starts 14 JULY ends 3 OCTOBER.

MORNINGS:

1) Tuesdays: EXPERIENCED - 9.30 to 11.00 pm (10 weeks)

2) Thursdays: MIXED - 10.30 to 12.00 pm (10 weeks)

3) Saturdays: STRETCH & REVITALISE Beginners welcome - 10.30 to 12.00 pm (10 sessions. No classes 25/7 & 15/8) 

EVENINGS:

1) Tuesdays: MIXED - 7.30 to 9.00 pm (10 weeks)

2) Thursdays: BEGINNERS - 6.00 to 7.15 pm (10 weeks)

3) Thursdays: EXPERIENCED - 7.30 to 9.00 pm (12 weeks)

CLASS LEVELS:

Classes are kept small to enable individual attention.

BEGINNERS: Covers foundation poses - standing poses, forward extensions & twists.

EXPERIENCED: For students who attend class regularly. Head & shoulder stands are a pre-requisite.

MIXED:This class welcomes students @ beginner level who wish to extend their practice & experienced students who wish to consolidate theirs.

STRETCH & REVITALIZE: All levels welcome.

CORPORATE YOGA:

“I’m not flexible enough for yoga”. If this sounds like you, well, that’s exactly why the rest of us are practicing it!

Corporate yoga is about understanding its value and benefits that can protect a lot of health problems over the course of your life. Emphasis is on good posture when sitting & standing and releasing tension at the base of the skull, along the sides of the neck & across the shoulders.

Employers and employees are discovering the many benefits yoga brings to the work place. Both stand to gain from releasing tension due to long hours, high pressure jobs, PC use or prolonged sitting or standing.

Onsite yoga classes make it easy for time pressured employees to simply leave their desks & enter a space close by where stress drops away. Blood pressure lowers while moral rises & yogis emerge refreshed and ready to tackle their tasks with renewed vigour.

TEEN SCHOOL YOGA:

As well as stretch & tone muscles, my school yoga programme encourages students to explore the movements of their spine & endeavours to bring a better understanding about the benefits of good posture.

There is a section in every session where visualisation & meditation skills are taught to assist the students in stressful times; eg, exams, so they’re able to remain calm & focused.

There is discussion on the importance of proper exercise & diet.

I designed the programme as an introduction to a good healthy lifestyle that students can continue to practice for a lifetime after they have left school.

POLICIES:

Classes run 4 terms per year. 

No classes on public holidays.

TERM card expires @ the end of each term.

FLEXI card expires @ the end of the year.

BOOKINGS: All bookings require full payment to secure your place.

CANCELLATIONS: All cancellations incur a 50% processing fee.

REFUNDS: There are no refunds or transfers once term/event has commenced.

WHAT to BRING: if you don't have your own mat, good quality eco mats can be purchased from Lotus Health Holistic Health Centre.

WHAT to WEAR: something loose & comfortable.
