Description
Every month, a Summer Healing teacher will guide students Beginners Yoga Workshop at each studio. Set in a warm, friendly and supportive environment, this 2 hour workshop steps through the Hatha, Vinyasa and Iyengar styles of yoga to teach you the fundamentals of a yoga practice. This workshop will cover:
Body alignment fundamentals in asana practice
Sun salutations for Vinyasa flow classes
A variety of standing, seated and lying postures
How to use yoga props
An introduction to yogic breath work, known as Pranayama
An introduction to yoga philosophy and how this can be applied to our every day lives for greater happiness and balance
The class will conclude with a deeply relaxing guided meditation.
