Description

We are once again teaming up with the Juice farm to offer a Yoga and Juice 1 day cleanse.

There is nothing quite like a good spring clean to help us reboot, recalibrate, and restore our bodies and minds back into balance. We will spend Saturday the 7th of May offering a full days Yoga program, supported by a cold pressed juice cleanse, carefully designed by the Juice Farm, to be high in nutrients delivered via green juice. We have included some other juices that will give us a little energy in the afternoon.

A Juice cleanse gives the digestive system time to rest, and a chance to clear some of the toxicity that has built up. The result is you will leave feeling lighter, brighter and ready to move into the new season with ease.

The Yoga Program:

8.30am-9.30am:

Pranayama & Mediation

10-12pm:

Fluid yet gentle Vinyasa Flow practice with a focus on detoxing and cleansing

12-2pm break:

time to journal, or go for a light walk, sip juices

2-4pm:

Yin Yoga session focusing on the Liver and Gallbladder meridians that will nourish the digestive system and relieve stress in the hips and the spine.

A bit about the Juice Farm:

Juice Farm Cold Pressed is based in Jaspers Brush. We are passionate about food, flavour, what goes into our bodies and where it came from. We try to grow and source locally where possible. All our juices are designed seasonally to a recipe for a balance of flavour, maximum nutritional benefits and consistency. Each juice is handcrafted in small batches using a Norwalk Hydraulic cold press and bottled in a glass jar. We sterilize and reuse jars where possible. Juice Farm is close to zero waste feeding all fibre and wastage to animals, worms and compost.

What is cold pressed?

‘Cold Pressed’ refers to the method of extracting juice from fruits and vegetables.

The cold pressed method uses a high amount of direct pressure to extract the juice from the fibre content of the plant. When the juice is extracted under direct pressure it is kept as near to its natural state as possible. Therefore, all the essential minerals, vitamins and enzymes are maintained and can be rapidly absorbed and transported by the body more effectively and efficiently.

Each juice contains approximately 700 grams of raw produce. Given that the juice is extracted under direct pressure it upholds its integrity longer than other styles of juicing. Thus it has a shelf life of 3-4 days (depending on the type of juice and other variables)

Some Tips:

Start your morning at home with the juice of one lemon squeezed into warm water
Drink herbal tea if you feel like something warm.

Make sure you bring a drink bottle so you can drink as much water as possible during the day.

When you arrive at the shala there will be a box labelled with your name.

Arrive early enough to sip a morning green juice before your practice. This is packed with nutrients and will give you the energy for your morning practice . Treat this as breakfast .

When we have finished our practice grab your juices and take them home for a calm finish to a nourishing day.

The week before we will send you a few pre cleansing tips.
