Prenatal Yoga Course ‘nurturing the seed’

Yoga during pregnancy creates space for women to embrace the changes in their bodies and in their lives during this special creative time. Yoga helps women discover a balance of strength and surrender in body, mind, heart and spirit and this is great preparation for childbirth and mothering. A holistic practice of postures, flowing movement, deep relaxation, breathing and meditation, suitable for all levels of experience.

ABOUT VANESSA BEAUCHAMP


VanessaAs she went on to birth more babies and business ventures her work with women and families deepened as well as her understanding of self and the wonder that is woman! Offering active birth preparation as part of her yoga classes became a natural progression and extension of all of these experiences. Her recent training with Rhea Dempsey added yet another layer of richness and understanding to her work, allowing her to offer birth support in the form of a Doula (birth attendant) as well.Vanessa is mother to three children and the founder of Mumma Pod. Her background is rooted in yoga, women’s mysteries and the dynamics of conscious, connected relationship. The birth of Vanessa’s first baby coincided with the completion of her yoga training, allowing her to understand and feel yoga from a mumma’s perspective. This greatly enhanced her capacity to teach and she has taught prenatal classes since 2008.

”My passion lies in life’s transitions - those times in which we face our greatest challengers and grow the most!  Pregnancy and birth are one of the most expansive transitions a woman can go through in her life and my work is to offer you the tools to experience these transitions in their wholeness. I will help you tap into your own innate wisdom and find the strength, grace and ease of your body and mind”.

Vanessa weaves birth education, yogic postures, breath awareness, relaxation, mindfulness and conscious relationship with self and baby into her prenatal classes. The space she holds for mothers to be is one of open supported connection and honest communication. She believes that the strengths you uncover in yourself in pregnancy will not only carry you through birth but will enrich and empower your sense of self as a mother.
