This unique workshop will explore the concept of Sama Kaya (even body), a sign (cihna) of a correct practice. We will commence with an hour of Vinyasa Yoga discussing the benefits and shortfalls of a dynamic "Yang" approach to postures.and conclude with a gentle "Yin" practice discussing the balancing effects necessary to bring about Sama Kaya within.
Duncan will draw upon his depth of knowledge of spinal anatomy, Vinyasa Yoga and his new found passion of a yin practice. The workshop will also include a review of skeletal variations that prevent yogis from going deeper into postures. Students will learn the difference between skeletal compression and muscular tension in their body and be shown the correct approach to deal with each scenario for true balance within.
