This course will cover the following:
History of Pilates, Principles of Pilates, Modern Exercise Science, 15 Foundation Exercises, 15 Mat Exercises, Progressions & Modifications & Special Modifications.
At the conclusion of this course instructors will be able to:
Confidently teach with prcision the Pilates mat repertoire at the foundation and basic level in a group setting, while meeting individuals needs. Communicate the principles of pilates, confidently demonstrate various exercises, design lesson plans and suitably modify 'break down' exercises for individual needs.
Dates: October 2012 13th -14th, 20th -21st & 27th -28th 12 to 6pm
Prerequisites: Cert 111 in Fitness or equivalent and particpation in 6 mat Pilates classes before commencing the course.
