Description
Kirtan is the call and response singing / chanting of the Divine's name with devotion, love and faith.
There are no beginners or experts in Kirtan - everyone can participate and enjoy the release and union that comes from singing together!
Native American Indians, Aboriginal Australians and the ancient sages and seers have chanted for thousands of years, in praise of nature, to still the mind and to connect and communicate with spirit.
It is said that in this present age that kirtan is to be the easiest, surest and quickest means to Divine realisation. The chants we sing are mostly in Sanskrit, although we also incorporate Tamil, Hindi and Hebrew.
Edo and Jo are singer/songwriters and kirtan enchanters. They met and fell in love in Bali at a yoga retreat. Since Bali and various trips to India they have been writing songs, leading Kirtan and Nada Yoga Nidra (Blissful Sound Relaxation), Mantra and Chakra workshops at various yoga schools and retreats in Australia, Asia and India. Edo & Jo have helped to popularise these ancient traditional practices through their own willingness to share the love, joy and divine inner peace that radiates from their own experience of communion with pure consciousness.
