Meditation is at the core of yoga and this weekend course examines some of the fundamentals. Scientific and medical evidence, as well as the experiences of many practitioners, have given meditation a wider public acceptance and understanding, but for the new comer (and even for those who have been practising a long time) the range of meditation practises can be confusing. The aim of this weekend is to give you a good grounding in basic methods that can then be transferred from the retreat and continued at home.
To balance traditional sitting meditations you will also attend classes of asana and pranayama, and deep relaxation sessions to help prepare the body and mind. By practicing all these simple techniques with regularity you will begin to tune into greater wisdom within and without. This weekend is for anyone, from beginners to more experienced students. Great also for those in need of a refresher to get re-inspired with their meditation practice.
