Savasana could well be the reason you stay until the end of your yoga class – to get that delicious permission to rest at the end. Or it may be the one posture you don’t have time for. Maybe you ask yourself what is the point of laying on the floor doing nothing? You have things to do, people to see! Either way this is the most important of all the asanas. Have you noticed it is the one consistent pose practiced in every yoga class?
“Savasana is one of the first poses we learn, but one of the last to master.” Swami Nirmalananda
This workshop with Tara from Byron Bay’s Terrafirma Yoga will teach you the value of Savasana and ways to truly ‘let go’. You will be guided into a body awareness during Savasana which we will practice at the beginning and end of a restorative yoga practice. Within minutes a deep unravelling occurs, layer by layer, breath by breath. You will learn how to align your body correctly so your bones and your muscles can settle into the floor and rest. Experience delicious adjustments which will help you dive deep into the inner dimensions of your own being. Most importantly you will learn how to be present in your own life. You will learn how to live in Savasana. This blissful 3 hour workshop includes 2 guided Savasana practices, a restorative yoga class, ways to realign your body and a guided yoga nidra meditation.
