We’ve planned this Yoga Holiday the way we like to travel. A comfortable adventure, starting each day with yoga and ending with meditation and relaxation. We’ll have time in between to explore, rest, eat amazing food, be pampered and soak up the rich culture of Bali. We prefer not to stay in big commercial resorts, so we have chosen unique accommodation, rich in character, run by a Balinese family of artists. Sometimes we need our own space, so each room is separate, and we each get a beautiful porch that overlooks a lush garden and rice paddy. Ubud has a rich cultural life, from the daily ritual of the Jati family preparing floral offerings to a traditional dance performance at the Puri Saren Agung (Royal Palace, Water Palace). We’ll also explore the stunning natural environment of Bali, swimming in waterfalls and white sandy beaches, exploring rice paddies, and watching thousands of white herons take flight at sunset. Yoga and meditation are an integral part of the retreat, in the small group of six you’ll get plenty of individual attention and space to deepen your practice on the mat, but we’ll also bring our yoga practice outdoors to be inspired by Bali’s beauty. We’ll also be practicing a variety of shorter and longer meditation techniques, indoors and outside. There is a mix of fun group activities and time to yourself. Time for indulgence and opportunities to stretch yourself physically and spiritually, time to relax and to have fun!
