"Of all yoga asanas, inversions are
the most potent, because they bring about the most transformational
results for us physically, energetically, emotionally, mentally and
spiritually. A regular inversion practice can yield youthfulness and
increase mental capacity, performance, endurance, energy, beauty and
overall well-being, confidence and calmness."
- Sharon Gannon, Jivamukti Yoga co-founder
Do you have an inversion aversion?
Learn how to invert safely with proper alignment in this two-hour workshop with Jivamukti teachers Sandy King and Anna Greer.
The workshop will address all the
main inversions of a Jivamukti Yoga practice in a flowing two-hour
vinyasa class. Inversions help us to see things from a different
perspective, defy gravity and prioritise the heart over the mind.
Sharon Gannon has said that one
cannot 'do' yoga because Yoga is our natural state, but that we can do
yoga exercises that reveal to us where we are resisting our natural
state. This is certainly true of inversions as we face our fears and are
given the opportunity to overcome them and find freedom and ease in the
body and mind.
