Description

For many of us backbends (heart openers) can be challenging at first. In our daily routines we spend a lot of time closing off the front part of the body, naturally causing us to feel uncomfortable, hesitant and fearful about moving in the opposite direction – bending backward.

In this workshop you will learn the fundamentals of proper alignment to execute the poses in a safe and effective way, proper breathing to practice with minimal discomfort and maximum awareness, and letting go of energetical blockages around the heart that hold you from experiencing these liberating poses and life itself to the fullest.

Specific techniques will be taught to open the tight areas that tend to limit backbending, including the quadriceps, psoas, middle back and shoulders.

The workshop is suitable for new and seasoned practitioners as it will focus on basic and more advanced backbends.
