Mindfulness meditation is an ancient practice that simply requires us to attend non-judgmentally to the present moment. Rather than getting lost in thoughts from the past and future (a space of non attention) we learn to rest our focus on what is occurring in this moment with no judgment or commentary. Cultivating the ability to ground our awareness with our body and breath we begin to notice small spaces of deep peacefulness within. Mindfulness is the practice of being attentively present.
Sarah Fletcher from Quiet Mind Meditation will be leading the Sunday Meditation Sessions. Sarah has been meditating for more than twenty years, exploring a range of techniques and traditions. These sessions will focus on simple and practical meditative techniques with the aim of developing a deeper level of ease to just 'sit'.
