The topic of this weekend retreat is based on the  five  points  of  Yoga, as taught by Swami Vishnu-Devananda: 

  1. Proper Exercise (Asana) Proper exercise should be pleasant to the practitioner while beneficial to the body, mind and spiritual life.
  2. Proper Breathing (Pranayama) Proper breathing should be deep, slow and rhythmical. This increases vitality and mental clarity.
  3. Proper Relaxation (Savasana) By relaxing deeply all the muscles the Yogi can thoroughly rejuvenate his/her nervous system and attain a deep sense of inner peace.
  4. Proper Diet (Vegetarian) A lacto-vegetarian diet. This is an integral part of the Yogic lifestyle.
  5. Positive Thinking and Meditation(Dhyana) Here is the most important point of all, we become what we think. A positive outlook on life can be developed by learning and practicing the teachings of the philosophy of Vedanta. The mind will be brought under perfect control by regular practice of meditation.

During the weekend we practice these five points of yoga.

The retreat is suitable for beginners to learn about the basics of yoga and for more advanced yoga students to deepen their practice.

The cost for the weekend is $420

Included in this price is the complete yoga program, accommodation and all the meals.
A non-refundable deposit of $120 is required to reserve your space.
The final payment is due one week before the Retreat.

Schedule / Itinerary

Friday 26/08/16 arrive between 2 pm and 6 pm

4:30pm – 6pm yoga class (asana, pranayama)

6:30pm vegetarian dinner

8pm meditation and introduction


Saturday 27/08/16

6am – 7am meditation and mantra repetition

7:30am – 9:30am yoga class (asana, pranayama)

9:30am breakfast

11am Nature walk + morning tea

1pm light lunch + Siesta

3pm afternoon tea

4pm – 6pm yoga class (asana, pranayama)

6:30pm vegetarian dinner

8pm satsang (meditation, lecture…)


Sunday 28/08/16

6am – 7am meditation and mantra repetition  or  silent meditation walk

7:30am – 9:30am yoga class (asana, pranayama)

9:30am  breakfast

12:30pm lunch

2:30pm end of the Retreat (you can also leave earlier or later)


All classes and program are optional, but highly recommended to attend to get the most benefit from this intensive yoga and meditation weekend. We are surrounded by beautiful nature and there is enough time for walks, reading a good book or just simply release, relax and recharge. Take a nap or if you are keen for a dip in the pool.
