Yoga is an ancient discipline that uses physical exercises, proper breathing, mental focus and conscious awareness to bring about a harmonious body and mind. Practised properly, yoga can help you develop strength and flexibility, release stress, alleviate structural pain (such as knees, back, neck), feel more calm and centred, regain vitality and interest in life. We offer a range of styles and class levels to suit students ranging from beginners to experienced practitioners and teachers. The centre offers you multi-level classes while blending a diversity of styles from the foremost exponents in the world. Whether it’s the preciseness and awareness of B.K.S Iyengar, the powerful dynamics of Ashtanga Vinyasa taught by Pattabhi Jois, or the timeless wisdom passed down to them both by Krishnamacharya that you are looking for, you’ll find it here at the Gold Coast Yoga Centre. The Yoga Space

The Yoga space is an open room with heaters and air conditioning where appropriate. Yoga equipment for use includes mats, straps, blocks, blankets, sand bags and eye bags. There is a large car park & ample street parking with night lighting.

The Programs

We offer a variety of classes, over several levels, from beginners to advanced, to suit many individual needs.

Beginners Classes (1 hr)

For those with little or no experience of yoga; or with an injury or condition that requires an easy pace and support.
Gentle and informative.
Minimum 6 classes recommended, or feel welcome to stay at this level for as long as you like.

Level 1 (1.5 hrs)

For those with a little yoga behind them who
wish to progress at their own pace. Modifications given in class to accomodate differing needs.
Well rounded practice with no inversions or full back-bends.

General

Basically a Level 1 class with some options included for Level 2 students to practice more advanced postures.

Level 2 (1.5 hrs)Experienced students only. For those who wish
to go deeper and are able to self-observeSelf-practice For students of any tradition or level to attend and work at their own pace with teachers assistance, if you don't have or know a sequence then one will be provided. read more and see some photosAshtanga YogaLed - The Primary series - A dynamic and challenging sequence of postures linked with the breath.Second Series Led - Even more advanced sequence than Primary.  For students with at least one year experience of Ashtanga Primary series or equivalent level of practice.  Speak to one of our teachers if you are interested in attending.  Held on the first Friday of each month in the 10.30am class.Meditation Classes (1.5 hrs)

Taking Yoga to a deeper level expanding consciousness
& deepening tranquillity.

Meditation is essential for all people to realise peacefulness and serenity,rather than the turbulence of emotional cycles, addictive behaviour and non-virtuous actions. Beginners Welcome.

Community Class (1.5 hrs)

The community class is provided for all students at
a cheaper price. Our way of giving back to the community.
Everyone welcome.

Private Sessions

Private sessions are designed for specific injury and disease states. All inner/jury and dis/ease states can be transcended if you have the commitment.

Individual sessions are also utilized by anyone who wishes more individual progression and adjustment within their practice. Times and practices are tailored to suit your needs. Pregnancy workouts available. Read more

Guest Workshops

Guest workshops each year are provided to inspire and deepen your understanding on a regular basis. 
Visiting teachers are welcome to contact us, in advance, to apply to run workshops.
