Meditative Yoga – Series 2: 7:30 – 8:30 pm Thursday. 14th April – 12th May 2016. (FREE CLASS ON 7th April)
What is Meditation? How can it benefit you? How do I quieten my mind? I can’t sit cross legged, can I still meditate?
Over the course of 5 weeks Meditative Yoga will seek to explore these questions and provide practical methods and tools.
This course is ideal for those with an interest in Meditation or new to Meditation.
The Meditative Yoga course is designed to encourage students towards Dhāraṇā – concentration.
As the weeks progress, we will move through the layers to reveal deeper aspects within.
Each class begins with a Sankalpa; setting our intention.
We prepare our body using āsana; we prepare our breath using prāṇāyāma, we prepare our mind using mudra and chant.
After this preparation; some time will be spent in stillness to explore connections within.
Over time our hearts will open to a deeper experience and understanding of the multiple facets of ourselves.
