Learn simple techniques to manage asthma

Yoga offers a safe and effective way to help you manage asthma. Recent studies have shown that a carefully crafted yoga practice has many benefits for asthma sufferers, including reducing the number of attacks and improving scores for peak flow rate. This workshop will teach you the specialised techniques you need to take control of your health and make a real difference to your asthma symptoms.

This workshop is open to:

  • All adults with asthma (even if you’ve never done yoga before)
  • Yoga teachers who want to learn techniques to help asthmatic students
  • Parents of children with asthma

Over three hours, this practical, hands-on workshop will teach you simple, safe and easy yoga techniques that will help improve your breathing and reduce your asthma symptoms, including:

  • Yoga breathing practices
  • Specially adapted yoga poses
  • Relaxation techniques

You will also receive written notes that include an easy-to-follow practice to do at home. At the end of the workshop, you will have the skills and confidence to practice yoga techniques that will improve your health and wellbeing.
