Mindfulness Space

3-Week 'Introduction to Mindfulness' will introduce you to a range of simple, effective and practical mindfulness techniques for cultivating resilience, health and well-being.

Over the three-week course, you will learn the necessary skills to recognise, understand and integrate the benefits of mindfulness into your daily life.

Some of the benefits of mindfulness include:
• An increased ability to relax
• A greater capacity to cope with stress
• More energy and enthusiasm for life
• Improved self-esteem and self-confidence
• A lasting decrease in negative thinking patterns
• Improved concentration, memory, decision making and effectiveness

What you will learn during the course:
• How to establish and maintain a regular mindfulness practice in your daily life
• How a mindfulness practice can lead to a greater sense of peace and calm
• How to be mindful and present in your day-to-day actions

What does the course involve?
• Three 1 hour classes once a week for three weeks
• Mindfulness meditation training
• Exploring patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving
• Learning through brief lectures, group discussion and experiential activities 

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
There is limited parking around the Rex Centre. It is best to use public transport. Both buses and trains that service the area. The closest train station is Kings Cross.

What is the refund policy?
Refunds are available if applied for 24 hours before the commencement of the first session.
