How to choose a 'Class' and Level thats right for you:
All yoga classes taught at MYCO are a form of Hatha Yoga. This means that they incorporate physical exercise and may include breathing practices and a form of mental focus or meditation.
Classes that are described as therapeutic are suitable for students managing injury or illness.
Gentle and restorative classes help release chronic tension, they are meditative and deeply nurturing for the nervous system (and the soul) beneficial for those new to yoga and also advanced students.
Vinyasa is described as a flowing style of yoga - moving from one pose to another in co-ordination with a breathing pattern, they can vary from slow and meditative to dynamic. Dynamic vinyasa is energetic and develops strength and stamina.
Yoga Basics: is a class designed for beginners or those with only a little yoga experience. The class is slowly paced, with an emphasis on working safely.
Level 1: is appropriate if you have had some prior yoga experience and wish to progress at a steady but comfortable pace. In these classes you will develop greater awareness of your posture and body alignment, build strength and flexibility, practice a variety of yoga poses and develop focus and concentration.
Level 2: is an intermediate level class for students who have practiced yoga for a while and feel familiar and comfortable with the basics and wish to challenge themselves physically and delve deeper into the mental and spiritual aspects of yoga.
