Mosman Yoga Co-op

MYCO is situated in the peaceful surrounds of Georges Heights, only 2mins drive or 10mins walk from Mosman Junction! There is ample free car parking next to the oval and our building is accross the road near the corner of Suakin Dr and Best Ave.
Please scroll down to view our timetable and special events ...
Our teachers are dedicated and highly trained; we are passionate about the benefits that our practices bring to all sorts of people and offer a variety of class styles and levels to suit individual needs. Private tuition and yoga therapy sessions are available.
To ensure a personal and supportive class environment most classes are limited to 12 students and some specialty classes are even smaller!

Beginner's courses and workshops are held during the term to deepen our student's experience and understanding of their practice.

An outdoor, free community yoga class is held near the rotunda at Balmoral Beach 8-9am on the last Sunday of each month.
Most classes are aligned with the school term (10-wk term followed by a 2-wk break). Some classes continue during the term break - holiday programmes will be listed on this website.

Throughout the term students may make up missed classes with any of the teachers listed on this timetable. We have an introductory offer for new students ... once they have attended a class at the Co-op and paid the $20 class fee, they are welcome to try different teachers' classes for only $10. (not valid for workshops)

Please contact the teacher prior to attending your first class as scheduled classes may be full or changed during the term.

Term Break Class info:

Classes that continue during the term break are listed on the timetable below.

How to choose a 'Class' and Level thats right for you:

All yoga classes taught at MYCO are a form of Hatha Yoga. This means that they incorporate physical exercise and may include breathing practices and a form of mental focus or meditation.

Classes that are described as therapeutic are suitable for students managing injury or illness.

Gentle and restorative classes help release chronic tension, they are meditative and deeply nurturing for the nervous system (and the soul) beneficial for those new to yoga and also advanced students.

Vinyasa is described as a flowing style of yoga - moving from one pose to another in co-ordination with a breathing pattern, they can vary from slow and meditative to dynamic. Dynamic vinyasa is energetic and develops strength and stamina.

Yoga Basics: is a class designed for beginners or those with only a little yoga experience. The class is slowly paced, with an emphasis on working safely.

Level 1: is appropriate if you have had some prior yoga experience and wish to progress at a steady but comfortable pace. In these classes you will develop greater awareness of your posture and body alignment, build strength and flexibility, practice a variety of yoga poses and develop focus and concentration.

Level 2: is an intermediate level class for students who have practiced yoga for a while and feel familiar and comfortable with the basics and wish to challenge themselves physically and delve deeper into the mental and spiritual aspects of yoga.
