Mangrove Yoga Ashram is a secluded yoga retreat centre located 90 minutes from Sydney, which offers the perfect environment to relax, renew and recharge. Established over thirty years ago, the centre nestles in a fertile valley encircled by sheer sandstone cliffs and bordered by a meandering tidal creek. Drawing on its surrounding natural beauty and yogic heritage, the centre creates a supportive and nurturing environment. 

To balance the body and mind, and reconnect with the spirit, a wide variety of weekend retreats are offered, as well as longer retreats for those wanting to deepen their experience. Our retreats also integrate personal interests, combining yoga with cooking, art, dance, gardening, music or just pure relaxation. Self-tailored personal retreats are also available.

For those who enjoy reading or contemplation, the lawns and gardens offer a choice of peaceful corners, including a meditation pond. There is a comprehensive library containing the world’s finest yogic literature. 

Mouna (silence) is practiced each evening until after breakfast the next day.

The sunny terraced courtyard is an ideal place to enjoy a delicious vegetarian meal, as is the beautiful new dining hall. There are three large accommodation buildings offering shared through to single rooms with ensuites. 

Whether you are new to yoga or an experienced practitioner, Satyananda Yoga Mangrove can cater to your level and need. You are most welcome to visit us on your own, with friends or family, for one night, several days or a whole month!
