Guruji, Shri BKS Iyengar has given his permission for us to use Iyengar in the name of our school i.e. East Coast Iyengar Yoga Studio.

Suzanne Fraser has been practising yoga since she was 17 and teaching yoga since 1984, she became a certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher in 1996.

Gretchen Highfield, Suzanne's eldest daughter has recently passed her Introductory 2 level exam and is now a fully qualified Iyengar yoga teacher.

Our guidance in Australia is with the BKS Iyengar yoga institue of Bondi Junction with senior teachers Kay Parry and Carol Hart as our mentors.  The monthly teacher training group we attend with other Iyengar comrades is a vital source which challenges our knowlege and practice and inspires our teaching.

We teach in three beautiful Mid-north coast venues:

Yarrahapinni Studio near Stuarts Point town at Suzanne & Harleys farm.

Nambucca Heads Studio at Headland Hall overlooking Main Beach.

South West Rocks Surf Club overlooking Horseshoe Bay.

Our commitment to Iyengar yoga and the teachings of Guruji, Geetaji and Prashant is such that we take a Saturday intensive, the first Saturday of each term in which we show DVD's of the Iyengars teaching and practice and discuss the finer points.  This is for experienced practitioners.

As our regular classes run with the school term we have time during the school holidays to host retreats, workshops or take private therapy classes.

We have recently returned from Molololailai Fiji Islands where we hosted our annual Fiji Yoga Holiday,  a glorious time for us all.
