Description

Yoga Therapy Australia offers the Viniyoga Healing Foundation of India's (VHF) Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga Therapy (recognised by the AAYT).  It is presented over three years in 6 residential  modules of 9 days each, and culminates in an internship at the VHF in India.
This is a very special training combining the authentic teachings of yoga therapy as promulgated by TKV Krisnmacharya, with modern western medical knowledge as practiced by DR NC for the past thirty years.

The course is presented by DR NC MBBS (previously Director of Therapy at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram), in a highly practical manner. Theory will be presented each morning with practicum and numerous case studies for observation and discussion in the afternoons.

 This course offers the opportunity you to properly learn the skills of observation, methodology of assessment and course design, as well as all of the necessary theoretical, practical and pathological knowledge to ensure that you are well equipped to design appropriate personal practices according to the individual needs of all of your students, whether suffering from chronic illness or more common stresses and pains.
 
After completion of the pre-requisite training FOUNDATIONS OF VINIYOGA, the first module, APPLICATION OF YOGA AND OBSERVATION OF THE JOINTS, and second module,  YOGIC ANATOMY, PHYSIOLOGY AND PSYCHOLOGY may be taken on a stand alone, but cumulative, basis.

Cost

Around $2000 per module including tuition, food and accommodation, more or less depending on your choice of accommodation.

Duration

Two 9 day residential trainings each year (May and OCtober/November) for three years, culminating in a two week internship at the VHF in India
